Research scientist specialized in Ecology of Biodiversity

French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea Maritime Professionals Media (IFREMER)

France

Principal activities:

  • Characterize phenotypic diversity (traits, biomarquers …) at different biological temporal and spatial scales, including the conception of sampling designs and the participation to data collection and surveys at sea;
  • Characterize the spatial distribution of phenotypes across life stages, their occurrence frequency, their link to environmental and fishing conditions;
  • Develop fish population and community models which take into account phenotypic diversity and functional groups;
  • Make use of reaction norm models to estimate the frequencies of alternative phenotypes in a population or traits in a community and make predictions of these frequencies under climate change scenarios;
