Fully-funded PhD studentships

The Environmental Research Institute (ERI) at the University of the Highlands and islands (UHI) is pleased to announce 4 fully funded, full time, PhD studentships commencing in the 2016/17 academic year. The studentships will be funded by the European Social Fund and Scottish Funding Council as part of Developing Scotland’s Workforce in the Scotland 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Fund Programme. We are seeking excellent, ambitious candidates worldwide, to join a new cohort of PhD students at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), from October 2016.

The studentships include two marine-based projects:

The effects of wave-current interaction on marine energy generation in tidally energetic channels under high wave conditions.

Seaweed as a Value Added Product for the Food and Drink Sector.
