Subject: Open PhD position in the field of ecological-economic mdelling
Dear colleague,
for an interdispinary project on conservation biological control that integrates ecology, economics, climate science and mathematical modelling, I am looking for a PhD student who addresses the modelling part (Topic 2 in the attached call, another open position (Topic 1) is for a climate scientist). The research group is located at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (Chair of Economics) in Cottbus, Germany; the PhD student will be able to choose between that site and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (Department of Ecological Modelling) in Leipzig, Germany. Both institutions offer an open, international and productive working atmosphere and are leaders in the modelling of social-ecological systems. Deadline for application is September 8, 2021.
