World Conference on Natural Resource Modeling
Dear Colleagues,
The 2020 World Conference on Natural Resource Modeling will be held on January 8-10, 2020 in Valparaiso, Chile, hosted by Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. This will be the first occasion when an RMA conference has been held in South America. The theme of the conference is “Decision support methods for natural systems at risk”.
The conference will focus on how quantitative applied research from diverse disciplines can assess different levels of risk, support decisions oriented to minimize them, and propose approaches for operationalizing sustainability concepts. Special attention is devoted to fishery, ecology, biodiversity, wildfire, water, pollution mitigation, and natural resource management in general. One of the WCNRM2020 main goals is thus, to foster cooperation among disciplines of mathematics, economics, management, ecology, energy, and computer sciences, among others.
